Activities for children ages 0-5

Tiring our babies and toddlers whilst they absorb all that is around them.

Valcellina Train – On this small sightseeing train, you will discover two beautiful towns of the Friulian Dolomites: Barcis, which overlooks the lake of the same name, and Andreis with its typical wooden balcony houses.

Animal Trail – In Tarvisio, this can be done both as a summer and winter activity.

Tarvisio Fun Area – The playground on the Piana dell’Angelo plain includes inflatable games, trampolines, and the grass bike, the alpine coaster. In winter, there are still fun activities to take up in the snow including the merry-go-round with inflatable dinghies,and the other fun inflatables.

Fantasy Park Forni di Sopra – Designed with safety features so the activities are both fun and safe. There are little snow jumps, sledge runs, and many other attractions for all the family.

Nevelandia Sappada Fun Park – In the animation village, there is the park mascot which amuses the children. There is an inflatable park for the little ones and with many fun activities.

Lignano Sabbiadoro Beach – This is great for kids who love theme parks and waterparks.

Grado Beach – With sandy beaches that are perfect for kids.

Nevelandia Fun Park – Fun for all the family thanks to the rubber dinghy tracks and the wide track dedicated only to bobsleigh lovers.

Sella Nevea Adventure Park – Located in Tarvisio this adventure park offers activities  that are “Tarzaning” style and tree climbing. There are 5 different tracks with growing levels of difficulty. Families with kids aged 3+ can visit this park.

Julian Prealps Park – The main aspect of this park is the contact of three different biogeographic regions – Mediterranean, Illyrian and Alpine. Many paths in the park cross the mountains of the park. Activities include guided tours, guided snowshoe tours, canyoning, and winter mountaineering amongst others.

Piancavallo Alpine Coaster – Experience this fun and exciting activity with kids by riding on a two-seat bob sled.

Tarvis Alpine Coaster – The Piana dell’Angelo activity park’s bob track grantees great fun both in summer and winter. You will ride a two-seater sled and go round a series of bends.

Claut Ice Arena and Pontebba Ice Arena – Visit with your kids for some ice-skating fun!

Acrobati del Sole Park – You can watch the birds of prey show here. This park also hosts falconry events.

Science Centre Immaginario Scientifico Trieste – An interactive and experimental science museum for kids. There is also a planetarium where kids can discover more about the stars.

Wildlife Parks in Friuli Venezia Giulia:

Acrobati del Sole Park – Watch birds of prey. The park also hosts falconry events.

Val Canal Novo Regional Nature Reserve – Located, in Marano Lagoon. This is a natural eco-system that includes wetlands and waters. There is an aquarium too so you can immerse yourself in the lagoon.

Cornino Lake Reserve – Apart from the magnificent views, there is also a picnic area and a visitor centre. There is a restaurant outside of the park too.

House of Butterflies- in Bordano – This is the largest display of live butterflies and insects in Italy, with more than 400 butterfly species from all over the world.

Miramare Sea Reserve – A great activity to take up as a family, if you know how to swim is the sea-watching of the seabed. You will also find a park and the Miramare Castle here.

Punta Verde Zoo Park – Say hello to lions or tigers,adorable zebras and giraffes.

Wildlife Park in Pianpinedo – This wildlife park hosts a lot of wild animal species of the Dolomites. Enjoy walks and stop by the visitor centre.
