How to Get to Slovenia with Kids

By Plane

The easiest way to travel to Slovenia is by plane. Several countries fly directly to Slovenia’s airport Joze Pucnik near the capital Ljubljana. The airport of Trieste is the closest one to the most visited regions in Slovenia. If you’re making your way from Venice to Slovenia, taking the motorway would only be a 200km from Slovenia. Croatia is another short drive to Slovenia.

By Train

Druga Violina – Serving Slovenian classic food. They have both indoor and outdoor seating. This place is a project for people with disabilities who produce most of the food in the farmland and also work in the restaurant.

Sombrero – A Tex-Mex, family-friendly themed café and bar. Located in the Fužine neighbourhood. Whilst parents enjoy their drink, kids can spend their time in the playground here. During the summer months, the playground has inflatable bouncy castles, one looking like an aquarium.

Visit the central market in Ljubljana –  Located in the Vodnikov trg and Pogačarnev trg squares. This is a great place to stroll around, enjoy coffee and by some great food.
